Take a different kind of walk this summer.

Join us for a gentle evening of mindful walking through some of Vienna’s most beautiful public spaces. Together, we’ll explore what it feels like to slow down, become more present, and cultivate a deeper sense of connection—with ourselves, with one another, and with the world around us.

This mindful walk is offered jointly by Rima Saad Hochreiter (Mindful Life Skills) and Zeynep Ağacıkoğlu, both certified mindfulness teachers. Through simple guided mindfulness practices and moments of shared silence, we will create space to pause, notice, and experience our surroundings with fresh awareness.

This special event is inspired by and offered in collaboration with U-Theatre, who will be performing at MuseumsQuartier two days later. Their artistic practice beautifully integrates drumming, movement, martial arts, meditation, and mindful walking, reminding us of a simple yet profound truth:

“We are not separate.”

SPECIAL BONUS: Complimentary tickets to U-Theatre’s performance – L’eveil de la Montagne – on August 14 will be available to all participants.

If you are unable to join the walk, you can apply for complimentary tickets to the Aug 14 performance here

No previous experience with mindfulness, meditation, or yoga is required. All you need is curiosity, comfortable walking shoes, and a willingness to explore the present moment.

What will we explore together?

During our walk, we will gently investigate:

  • Bringing mindful awareness to walking and movement.
  • Connecting with our senses and the environment around us.
  • Discovering how slowing down changes our experience.
  • Cultivating kindness, openness, and presence.
  • Exploring connection, belonging, and our shared humanity.
  • Appreciating the richness of ordinary moments.

The walk includes short guided mindfulness invitations, moments of silent walking, and opportunities for shared reflection. Rather than focusing on reaching a destination, we’ll explore how every step can become an invitation to arrive more fully in the present moment.
